Position: Electrical Design Engineer - Contracts Engineering
Location: UK - Farnborough Hants
Department: Engineering
Reports to: Contracts Engineering Team Leader
Responsible for the processing of customer orders in a timely and accurate manner, liasing where necessary with other departments.
1. Participate in task teams and product development teams as appropriate.

Contribute to the formulation of project plans, ensuring agreed targets are achievable. Produce status reports when required.
3. Produce design concepts and develop electrical modules for the various projects with a view to product standardisation and lower cost order processing.
4. To fully document all electrical design in a cost effective and technically sound manner, meeting any legislative requirements.
5. Collate and report appropriate key performance indicators as and when agreed.
6. Provide support for the manufacturing teams, contracts engineering, supplier development and various sales and service functions as appropriate.
7. Supervise sub-contract staff when necessary.
8. Provide support for the development and implementation of the Company’s quality, and health and safety systems.
9. Perform other duties as reasonably requested.
1. HNC or equivalent minimum with relevant experience.
2. Switchgear design experience within the process or packaging industry.
3. Experience in technical liaison with customers and subcontractors.
4. Experience in fault finding with electrical control and safety systems.
5. Experience of working within a quality system.
